About us

The Bulls Head is on the A514 at Hartshorne, and it is a pub full of history and character. It's imposing Georgian front was built in the early 18th century and the ground floor to the rear is thought to date back to Elizabethan times, around 1570 - 1600. The interior has a cosy welcoming atmosphere, with timber beams and a high wooden plinth adorned with memorabilia.

The pub is very well located to visit Burton-upon-Trent, Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. The M42 is literally minutes away from which you can easily access the M1. In the opposite direction is the A38, and A444. East Midlands airport is only 15 miles away.

We are a husband and wife team with some great staff in support. We do our best to give a really warm welcome to everyone who walks through the door.
